Westminster Homecare team takes on the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge in aid of the Care Workers Charity Going the Extra 24 miles to support the Care Workers Charity
Westminster Homecare joined the Care Workers Charity to complete their annual challenge event. This year’s annual fundraiser saw 90 people from across the care sector take part in the Yorkshire 3 Peaks challenge.
Our route covered twenty-four and a half miles, including 1585 meters of ascent over the Pen-y-ghent, Ingleborough and Whernside hills. The team from Westminster Homecare joined 17 other teams who took on this demanding route through the breath-taking British countryside against the clock, with only 12 hours to conquer steep climbs while battling the elements.
This year’s challenge raised an impressive total of £35,698!
Alex Ramamurthy, CEO at the Care Workers Charity said: ‘I’m incredibly proud of and thankful to all those who participated in our annual challenge. This was one of the toughest challenges I have ever taken on, and I couldn’t have completed it without the camaraderie and support of my fellow team mates. These funds will allow us to help more care workers across the UK who find themselves in a crisis and need support. We hope everyone who attended thoroughly enjoyed the experience and will join us again next year.’
